Stage 1: Product definition
In the first stage the system concept will be reviewed within a feasibility study. The customers preliminary specs are put into a full user requirement specification (URS) based on the customer’s input. Deliverables of this stage are a detailed P&ID, URS, a bill of materials (BOM), payment plan, and also a detailed cost price calculation for two units. At the end of the stage the customer can give a Go, No Go Recycle or Hold. The technical drawings and BOM become customer property after all financial obligations have been met. This phase is crucial for any project; an accurate determination of specs allows a smooth flow of the project and an appropriate cost estimation.
Stage 2: Construction & Testing
When a go for stage 2 has been given, suppliers selection will be finished in this phase and the system’s parts will be purchased. The system will then be built and a factory acceptance test (FAT) training with customer will be planned. When construction of the system is finished a FAT will take place. Based on the customers comments during the FAT, a list of improvements will be created and implemented into the system, resulting in a final system.
Stage 3: Shipment, installation (and training)
After the construction of the system is finished shipment to location takes place. If requested on-site installation and training will be handled and given by FireCon. SAT documents will be made before installation and training is conducted.
